ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project is a partial living room renovation in an apartment on Broadway in Manhattan. The goal was to elevate the space through a thoughtful cosmetic renovation, improving comfort and overall visual quality without a full rebuild. As part of this apartment renovation in Manhattan, we focused on ceiling details, lighting, and atmosphere.

The ceiling was carefully reworked to feel cleaner and more refined, and a new lighting layout was introduced. We created ceiling niches for curtains, which added softness, elegance, and a more finished look while visually increasing the ceiling height.

Lighting played a key role in this renovation. New fixtures were added to create a warm, layered lighting effect suitable for both daytime and evening use. The color palette was kept light and neutral, with soft warm grays and beige tones that reflect natural light and create a calm, inviting feel.

These tones pair beautifully with the wood flooring and give the living room a timeless, understated luxury. The overall style can be described as light contemporary with subtle classic influences — clean, elegant, and very New York.

No major layout changes were required, but the cosmetic renovation significantly transformed the space. The living room now feels polished, cozy, and intentionally designed, showing how a well-planned apartment renovation in Manhattan can add value through details, lighting, and finishes.
